Want to experience a bit of all amazing things ;) My list is long & it keeps growing but I'm catching up slowly & steadily :) Love life and all that it offers!

I have been following the Army Chief’s age row and how its taking shape.

  • Army Chief says his correct DOB 1951 and not 1950 – I’m not sure what he was doing all these days rather years? Guess he never took this seriously and never tried to sorted out the way he should have. It clearly shows that he woke up just before his retirement and is trying to quick-fix it.
  • Army Chief says its not about age but its about honour/pride – I’m dam sure  no one in Army except few weak hearted fans are bothered about his age row issue. Army Chiefs come and go but Army remains. And true soldiers will never ever take it to heart. Army is not meant for Army Chiefs but its meant for people of the nation.
  • Army Chief goes to the court – He should have not done that. The best way is to deal this internally. Now he is the person responsible for answering many questions about the functioning of Army Offices and its administration.
  • Army Chief’s Matriculation Vs. UPSC form for NDA – Chief says his DOB as per his Matriculation certificate is 1950 but I guess he forgot to enter the same on his UPSC from that he filled while joining NDA. Or some one else might have filled his UPSC form for him which is not acceptable. He says that as a 17-year old kid he made a mistake while filling UPSC form.
  • Army Chief’s impeachable service record – who doesn’t have impeachable service records in defence? Many of my friends in Defence have super impeachable service records. Job in Defence is all about impeachable service. So he should not keep mentioning it like what he is doing is rare.

At the end of the day, I completely fail to understand why our Army Chief woke up almost at the end of his service? I think he might have taken it for granted that DOB is a small issue to deal with as he is in the highest position and Government of the day will agree to whatever he says or request.

I am not sure what the Supreme Court has to say. No matter what court says, for me Army Chief has lost something. Agree! Army Chief did a great service to the nation which will be always appreciated and remembered. Army Chief VK Singh is not an ordinary person. We find these kind of people rarely. Go through this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vijay_Kumar_Singh and you will feel that he did not handle the age row at appropriate time and in appropriate manner in his wisdom.

Some times silly things take your breath away. And for Army Chief and for many others this is a lesson for life.
