What the hell is going on in our country?

Why are freebies given to ex-ministers, diplomats and bureaucrats. The VIP post retirement benefits sounds ridiculous for India at this point of time. Thanks to print and TV media for breaking this starting with the our own old President madam. Apart from crores of rupees (our money) that was spent on her international visits, she was about to get a huge land with a bungalow that too on a land that belongs to widows of defense personnel. This is ridiculous. Must salute those who fought against it on the ground.

Hats off to media that brought this issue in to light. Every political party which came to power had enjoyed and are enjoying these freebies for years and of course will enjoy it for life.

Firstly if I can I want to abolish the so called THE PRESIDENT’S (EMOLUMENTS AND) PENSION ACT, 1951 act straight away. All benefits except pension should be stopped. What is the fun giving over the top facilities when the President or VIP is no more serving the nation?

I liked and fully support the argument that my guru of Journalism Karan Thapar raised in this episode.

There are still some unwanted, mindless and useless laws and acts in our constitution that needs amendments and deletions. We cannot hang around with laws and acts made 50+ years ago. We need new laws and acts that matters the most.

I’m sure this is the beginning of the new era. If such issues are discussed and are brought in to public domain then we can definitely hope for a change.

I still believe India is improving.

India media can bring a lot of change but it can happen only with responsibility and with a balance of wisdom and knowledge.

As you all know Finance Minister Prabab Mukherjee announced the budget today. And like every year NO one is satisfied. Frankly speaking budget really doesn’t matter to most India. They just go on with life as usual.

But we see that Business men are not happy. The working class is not happy. And on the top the opposition is never happy with UPA’s budget. Not just budget but they hate anything UPA.

Its seems like every intelligent person has a budget plan. Every one wants to prove UPA’s budget is flawed and they have a better budget. Like the chai wala at railways station we have the budget walas every where. Chai walas are better as they don’t insists that their Chai is the best

I’m not sure if there is something called the PERFECT BUDGET. Can anyone ever come up with a PERFECT BUDGET? That has to be seen in future.

Okay now I have to see how much I owe to the Government of India as Tax

Happy financial year end my friends!

OMG! what’s coming to my mind? All Bangla for some time – Mamata Didi, Pranab da and Bangladesh Cricket team All making headlines in India for various reasons.

Great moment for every Indian today. And of course today its an unforgettable day for Sachin fans and devotees of Sachin who got his 100th ton.

I am no fan of Cricket and frankly speaking I don’t know the names of few Indian Crickets. I did play a lot of Cricket and the only thing I like is batting, nothing else. I don’t like being bowled nor caught I don’t accept LBW as well. When I bowled my friends said its a throw ball. I sometimes wonder what Malinga is doing?

Now coming to Sachin. Some ducks in media and outside media kept ranting that Sachin should retire because he was unable to get his 1ooth ton even after playing many matches. Indian speculative media kept joined the board with some ducks who thought its time for Sachin to retire as he is taking too long suggesting Indian team needs new players. They were doing all sorts of research and analytics to prove that its the right time for Sachin to retire. After the defeat in Australia these ducks went crazy and were desperate for Sachin’s retirement.

I was completely against their thoughts and opinion from the beginning and disliked anything or anything/anyone that mentioned Sachin’s retirement.

How can someone give up when they are at the peak? These ducks praise Sachin and use phrases like ‘God of Cricket’ when he does something good. The same ducks did not have enough patience to wait till Sachin completes his 100th ton which no cricket has ever done till today in Cricketing History?

If given an opportunity I want to slap all these ducks. Ducks take my virtual slap

For me Sachin is a great Indian who made India proud. Sachin achieved something that no one has ever achieved in the World Cricketing History. Now I want Sachin to keep playing with out thinking of retiring amidst the 100th ton limelight. There is no good or bad time for retirement. Retirement comes when it has to. But its Sachin’s WISH.

Agree! – Boost is the secret of Sachin’s energy

I have been following the Army Chief’s age row and how its taking shape.

Army Chief says his correct DOB 1951 and not 1950 – I’m not sure what he was doing all these days rather years? Guess he never took this seriously and never tried to sorted out the way he should have. It clearly shows that he woke up just before his retirement and is trying to quick-fix it.

Army Chief says its not about age but its about honour/pride – I’m dam sure no one in Army except few weak hearted fans are bothered about his age row issue. Army Chiefs come and go but Army remains. And true soldiers will never ever take it to heart. Army is not meant for Army Chiefs but its meant for people of the nation.

Army Chief goes to the court – He should have not done that. The best way is to deal this internally. Now he is the person responsible for answering many questions about the functioning of Army Offices and its administration.

Army Chief’s Matriculation Vs. UPSC form for NDA – Chief says his DOB as per his Matriculation certificate is 1950 but I guess he forgot to enter the same on his UPSC from that he filled while joining NDA. Or some one else might have filled his UPSC form for him which is not acceptable. He says that as a 17-year old kid he made a mistake while filling UPSC form.

Army Chief’s impeachable service record – who doesn’t have impeachable service records in defence? Many of my friends in Defence have super impeachable service records. Job in Defence is all about impeachable service. So he should not keep mentioning it like what he is doing is rare.

At the end of the day, I completely fail to understand why our Army Chief woke up almost at the end of his service? I think he might have taken it for granted that DOB is a small issue to deal with as he is in the highest position and Government of the day will agree to whatever he says or request.

I am not sure what the Supreme Court has to say. No matter what court says, for me Army Chief has lost something. Agree! Army Chief did a great service to the nation which will be always appreciated and remembered. Army Chief VK Singh is not an ordinary person. We find these kind of people rarely. Go through this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vijay_Kumar_Singh and you will feel that he did not handle the age row at appropriate time and in appropriate manner in his wisdom.

Some times silly things take your breath away. And for Army Chief and for many others this is a lesson for life.

In the beginning she was against FDI and then she was/is against a clause in proposed Lakpal bill.

I think the title is apt for Mamata Banerjee of TMC - Bengal Ki Didi, Congress Ki Dadi.

Congress or UPA government has to suffocate when didi declined to support FDI and then a Lakpal clause. Coming to FDI the TMC blamed UPA for not consulting the party before proposing the bill in Parliament. And sternly opposed the control/appointment of lokayuktas in the state.

I personally feel that didi and her team is on the verge of creating a mini country called Bengal – The Country. Didi is super confident about her stands as she defeated CPM which ruled for years. Didi now has the vote power or say people power and hence she can do what ever she wants. She even confronted that her party can do with out Congress/UPA and she can go to poll any time.

My opinion, I did not like the way didi or TMC opposed FDI. Even after it was made clear that FDI is purely a state decision, didi or TMC opposed it and they paralysed the Congress/UPA government in parliament. Surely FDI is not the only breather for India but its an opportunity lost. It is the right time for FDI to come in.

Like many Indian’s in India even didi or TMC think that once the Lokpal bill is passed its going to be there intact for ever and ever and ever… Hence she demanded to remove the clause and did not support UPA at the nick of the moment. If didi or TMC would have supported the bill then India would be celebrating the Lokpall bill today. Didi should have supported the bill and then later demanded for the amendments which is not impossible. BJP also had some 180+ amendments. I don’t think BJP is fully responsible for the No Lokpal bill but its Didi who paralysed the UPA at the nick of time. Don’t want to talk much about BJP as I am not sure what they are up to except criticise / rant / complain about Congress/UPA. I find it quite funny when the people in BJP ask the government / PM / Ministers to step down for everything and anything. Guess they lost hope of winning elections in future.

And see what’s happening now, didi has suffocated Congress/UPA so badly that now Congress is looking for other allies. Why not? When you don’t like a mobile connection you will look for a better connection.

“Mamata / TMC is BJP Team-B inside Congress”

I saw this in the news and things look the same to me as of now. But not sure what’s in-store in politics.

Last but not the least, apart from politics Mamata didi is a great human being and she is people’s person. People are with her and she is with people for sure. But as a leader she should make sure that she is doing the right things at the right time. I think intelligent people around her should help her concentrate on the right things instead of steering her away.

Hope Mamata didi will be a great leader as she is now in coming days by doing great things for her people – along with UPA/Congress or with out.

“Damn Expensive!” – This is what comes to my mind when I think of Apple products.

Today Apple’s Legend Steve Jobs is no more. I never knew much about this guy until he launched iPhone and of course the iPad.

I have seen all his keynotes, product launches and tech interviews. His Stanford Commencement Address in 2005 is my favourite. He talked about 3 things that every human should work towards.

I don’t own any Apple’s products but I did experience these unique, elegant, super cool and beautiful gadgets that he created. They are awesome and are the most beautiful digital gadgets that I have ever seen, touched and experienced on planet earth. I always wanted to own at least one of them.

Today I strongly feel that I should own something that the legend has left behind as a gratitude.

I say Steve Jobs is the Legend of Finest Digital Gadgets on planet earth. And 5 October 2011 will be remembered just for Steve Jobs.

Rest In Peace – Steven Paul “Steve” Jobs. You made the earth a beautiful place.

The tech industry has lost a visionary but Steve’s legacy will inspire the future of human kind.

Not the destruction they cause.

I like rain, but
Not the floods they bring.

I like cool breeze, but
Not when it turns into storm.

I like sunshine, but
Not the heat from it at noon.

I like thunders, but
Not the harm they do.

I like fertile earth, but
Not the earthquake it causes.

I like the moon and the starts, but
Not when they disappear.

The most I like are the human beings, but
Not when they quarrel among themselves.

Today is the saddest day of my life. A cute little girl whom I always wanted to meet is no more. Yes she is no more among us.

She is cute, very little and loves her dad so much that she expresses her lover in every possible way. She loves to play Angry Birds like I do and she loves toys as every girl of her age does. She loves puppies and plays with them for hours. All the walls in her house are her canvas and she enjoys drawing on the walls. She loves to get wet in the rain when ever it rains.

But unfortunately she went in to a strange condition termed NORSE (New-onset Refractory Status Epilepticus). I’m wondering about our science that we are so proud of. What happened to all the research and medicine that is available today? Why can’t the doctors who are known to be next to God couldn’t save the little girl? Is it beyond humans?

Is there no one to answer or is there no answer?

Little girl everyone who knows you and loves you will miss you the most. But I strognly believe that you are with God.

There are many who will miss you for life.

I wish you could come back as an angel from the skies.
