Last year, the whole Christmas season has been a blessing for me. I have been showered with appreciations in my Church by my Pastor for all the service towards Church. And on 31st night I was presented a special gift for my service towards Church.

For sometime, I felt like I don’t need appreciation because its my duty towards my God and towards my Church. I am doing what ever I could and I am just using my skills. I am not doing something extraordinary. But still my Pastor and Church members think that I am doing something very important for the Church. And I had to accept their appreciations.

Appreciation – is a wonderful thing that can happen to an individual. What I believe is, if every individual is appreciated for his/her good work then I am sure there will no one in this world who will be disappointed. Appreciations need not to be only of great achievements but should be for any thing good.

As human, first we need to appreciate each other. We should first appreciate our own family members and then our friends and then comes the society. Appreciations should not be limited to only those whom we know. Appreciations should be for unknown as well. Appreciation should be related to just good work and nothing else.

When ever some good work has been done then those who did it must be appreciated.

Appreciation makes a difference in everyone’s life. It encourages us and helps us to do good, give our best and to be happy for what we are doing.

Let’s start Appreciating everyone for their good work. No matter how big or small is that good work.

Appreciations makes everyone happy. Let’s make everyone feel happy for their good work!

Agree?

Heart touching, Humorous, Memorable and Indian. What else we could expect from a Sharukh’s movie?. I loved the movie throughout. There is no first half and the second half. The entire movie makes you go through all the emotions of life and on the top it makes you burst in to laughter.

Hat’s off to Sharukh for dual (double) acting as a simple shy educated state government employee and to a modern funky handsome hunk.

The whole movie was set in the back drop of Amritsar. And Director was good at concentrating on the local language. I must talk about Vinay, dam good acting as Sharukh’s friend. The new actress was at her best.

Sharukh plays a role of a simple, down to earth, educated, well behaved and un-married bachelor who works in a state government office in Amritsar. He visits his teacher’s daughter wedding. Sharukh secretly likes her and falls in love with her. Unfortunately, the marriage ends up in a disaster and because of some un avoidable circumstances Sharukh marries his teacher’s daughter. Sharukh feels so happy that he has no words.

From here the real movie starts to shape up. You can see how Sharukh’s colleagues in office ask him for a party and also how a typical Indian office and its employees act and talk.

Sharukh tries to talk, make friendship and impress his wife who is young, modern, beautiful and intelligent but she is lost in the sadness of her marriage disaster. Sharukh feels bad as he was unable to make her happy. One day Sharukh’s wife sees an advert about a famous dancing competition which comes to Amritsar. She wants to join the dancing classes and Sharukh accepts as he always wanted to see her smiling and happy.

Sharukh goes to Vinay, his friend who runs a saloon and who is a stylist, asks him to change him completely into a modern, energetic and handsome looking guy so that he could see his wife dancing and smiling. Vinay, the expert completely tranforms Sharukh in to a modern, stylish, young and energetic hunk.

Sharukh with his new makeover joins the dance classes and luckily he and his wife become dance partners. His wife really couldn’t recognise him as Sharukh is not the old sharukh but the new modern man. Modern Sharukh tires to flirt with his wife but she clearly tell him that they are just good friends and are dance partners and nothing else. And the modern sharukh (with in himself as a simple shy educated state government employee sharukh) is happy about his wife’s attitude towards other men.

After the dance classes our modern Sharukh again comes back in to himself as the simple shy educated state government employee and goes back to home pretending to this wife as though he is coming from office.

As the dance classes continue Sharukh’s wife falls in love with the new modern handsome sharukh and that’s when our simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh breaks in to tears. He thinks that his wife doesn’t love him but loves a handsome hunk like the modern Sharukh.

One fine day Sharukh’s wife decides to run away with the modern Sharukh and with much pain our simple shy educated state government employee shahrukh decides to end himself and permanently become the modern Sharukh whom her wife likes very much.

For the last time simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh takes his wife to the the golden temple for this last prayers as simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh and to pray for his wife’s good and happy life with the modern Sharukh. But at the same time simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh’s wife realises that the modern Sharukh is not the person whom she really loves. The modern Sharukh is just a beautiful dream. She realises that simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh is her husband who really lover her than the modern Sharukh as he sees Rab (God) in her. And she decides that she will not run away with modern Sharukh.

She tells the same to modern Sharukh. She says that her simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh loves her more than anyone in this world and she cannot leave him alone. Then modern Sharukh burst in to tears but with in himself feels happy as the simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh whom her wife really loves and respects.

And at the end modern Sharukh is no more there. He is gone with the wind and our simple shy educated state government employee Sharukh becomes the real man of his wife’s dreams and life.

Both live happily together forever and even visit Japan for honeymoon.

So, that’s the outline of the story and if you are confused then please do watch the movie. I promise this will be the last good movie of this year that you will remember for life time.

And there is one song in this movie which is close to my heart, It’s “Houle Houle“.

My favourite dialogues:

1) “Agar mein apko rab se bhi jyada pyaar karoonga tho rabb mujh par gussa tho nahin karenge?”

2) Punjab Power ji – Lightning up your life ji

Hmmmm….. I am sure everyone knows that the elections are nearing and most of us sometimes talk about politics. When ever we talk about politics we all take it for granted that its the worst part of our civilization. We all believe that politics is all about corruption, scams and loads of black money. We always talk bad about politics and the government. We have endless list of complaints about government and its duties. I too am one among you and I too believe in the same.

But before talking or complaining about politics or the government lets ask ourselves one simple question – “Did i vote?”. I am sure 60% of you didn’t vote and all those who voted, i thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If 90% of the people do not vote then how can we expect a wonderful and dear government? We can never and that’s the fact. So i request each and every individual especially all the educated people who work for world class MNC’s and global corporate offices to vote. And the reason for this is, we all are educated and we can judge who is the right person and which is the right party.

When it comes to voting lets not think and discuss on a national level. Let’s first be local. See what’s happening around you. Judge between the governments and the leaders of the local government parties. Evaluate their work. Come out with simple statistics about who has done what and who is the best. And ones you have the results, vote for the best person or the party.

I said think local because we all are so busy in our day today life that we don’t even have time to listen to news. We don’t know what’s the government is doing. So, let’s not take help from our friends on politics or it;s parties. Let’s feel and see it for ourselves as an individual and decide to which person or party our vote belongs to.

I would like to justify my above 2 paragraph views with this; when we get headache we are not bothered about our stomach, legs or other parts of the body. We would take medicine which would help reduce or cure our headache. Similarly, let’s not think about the whole India when it comes to selecting a party or a person to vote for.

We all are educated and we can do the right things at the right time. So, let’s vote and elect a responsible and working government. Let’s not take any party or government personally. Let’s not get impressed by the personality and agenda of a party, but let’s judge and revise what a particular party or government has done in the past and what it did not. If we think that a party has done a fantastic job then they must get a chance to excel in their services next time and if they did not then we must give way to others.

Last but not the least, let me suggest you not to elect a government on the basis of the personalaties invoived in the party or their election objectives. Instead see what did the party do to you locally. How did the party served you. It’s very easy to judge. If i can judge the right party then i am sure you can.

So, please vote and help our country to prosper. Let’s make our country the best among the rest.

Desperately waiting to vote! Will be waiting for you at the polling booth.

Cheers!
Krishnam

Operation Duriodhana is a movie that every Indian should watch at least ones. This movie show you how WE – THE PEOPLE are responsible to form a functional government that really works for us and is always there to solve our problems.

The director has clearly stated that its because of US - THE PEOPLE our country is facing all the problems that you hear on news channels. WE don’t vote, WE don’t bother about politics, WE don’t serve our own country. WE are very busy with our job, family and our home. If ever individual looks after his/her own business then what about our country, its politics and its issues. Who would take care of them?

Everyone will say that government and its employees will take care of it. You are right, but when we did not elect our government or when we did not elect the right government then how can we say that government will take care of everything? How can we trust the government that we didn’t elect ourselves? I know, there are too many questions but these are the real questions for the future of our country.

If we fail to provide solutions to these question then our future will suffer like how we are suffering and facing problems.

This movie talks and shows what happens if the right government is not elected. It also explains the importance of using the Right to Vote.

Let me explain the whole movie concept in few points;

What happens if we don’t vote as an individual

What happens if the right government is not elected

How few people in the society sell their votes

How wrong people enter in to politics and then in to government

I would like to thank the director of this movie for the kind of subject he chose. I am he was not expecting a big hit or a box office hit but he definitely made a difference by releasing this movie. I don’t want his efforts to fade away. I request you to please watch the movie at least ones so that you know the importance of the movie. If you cannot afford to buy the CD then please do contact me, I will be happy to borrow my CD with you.

Let us all act like a responsible citizen of this country and utilise our Right to Vote. Let us all elect an well educated, young and a perfect person as our leader. Let’s do our part as a good citizen of this great and ancient land called India.

”Let’s Vote & Elect the right government.”

Cheers!

6 AM, Monday 26 2008

Today I ran a marathon on the treadmill. I couldn’t believe myself, but I actually did run. I ran for about 45 minutes non-stop at 5 kmph speed. For me its an achievement because I could still remember my last marathon was in 2002 when I was in Vizag.

After 2002 till yesterday I never ever ran for 45 minutes continuously. I did participate in Hyderabad 10K Run 2007 but I stopped in between many times to enjoy the music bands around the Necklace Road.

For me its like going back to my old golden days when I used to play football, basketball, table tennis and badminton for hours. I was an all-rounder in sports at school and college but ones I started working I had to sacrifice all those. I could not even participate in inter office sports competitions. I tried to participate but I didn’t have much stamina.

But today I feel like I can once again do all those things but I have to be fit for that. That’s why I joined the new gym in my office at Hi-tech city and today was my first day. I want to continue gym for a longest time and would like to make myself fit for everything in life.

So, all the best of Krishnam.

Cheers!

9:30 PM, Saturday, 10 May 2007

Today I woke up early in the morning as I had to do some of my house hold work like washing clothes, cleaning dust off the computer, arranging my books in the shelves and so on. Usually, I sleep till noon or 3 PM on Saturdays & Sundays. But today there was something exciting other than my regular work and that is; I had to be with my team at the Prasadz IMAX by 1 PM. We booked tickets for TASHAN for 1:30 PM show. I was the first to reach IMAX and was waiting for the rest to assemble. My Manager stepped in and the rest of the team members joined one by one.

My manager Kalpesh collected tickets from the ticket counter and we settled in our seats with in no time. The movie started and by God, it’s a super dooper flop. Songs are horrible and even the climax fight was a disaster. The climax fight was a mix of Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Rambo & WWF. The director redefined all the laws of Gravity in Physics, its better if I don’t talk much about it. But there is something positive about the movie. I must admit that Anil Kapoor (bhaiyya ji) did a wonderful job. Through out the movie he speaks in a very funny Hindi English Mix Language/Accent. For example: “You jaaying and maarings , nahi tho mein myself maardalings. I speakings, I slappings becos this is my areas,. No gustakimaffings”. And our Akshya Kumar was at his best in comedy and emotional scenes. You will love Akshay for his acting. Believe me the rest of the movie is dam horrible.

After the movie, my Manager left home and the rest of us (The team) guys decided to visit my home. I said “guys” because two of our team ladies did not come for the movie. How lucky they are. We started off from IMAX on our super bikes and reached home in half an hour’s time. All my team mates were surprised when they saw my flat. They liked and loved it very much. Everyone went around the house and had a look at my flat. Then we ordered some food from Hyderabad House and had a wonderful lunch together. One of my team mates prepared absolutely delicious tea, it was awesome. Then my team mates left to their homes. I had to drop one of my team mates at the IMAX as he left his bike at the IMAX parking.

Then I started back home. I almost reached home but just after taking a right run I found an old lady lying on the concrete road. She was old and was very weak. It was hot and I could see the mosquitoes feeding for blood on her mercilessly. I tried to talk to her but she was not able to speak. The first thought that came in to my mind was to get her some food and water. I quickly brought a food packet and a bottle of drinking water. I gave it to her and asked her to eat it. Then I quickly went to my flat and switched on the computer. I started searching for “Old Age Homes” and the “Charities”. I managed to find few addresses and phone numbers. I started calling them one after the other. I was little afraid to call the charities as it was almost 11 PM in the night. But I had to call them as the old woman was suffering like hell.

After talking to few charities I realized the fact that many of the charities are commercial. They don’t accept people who are abandoned and diseased. These charities have no funds and are fully occupied. They can join no more people. Every charity has some or the other reason for not helping this old and sick woman. I was very frustrated as I was not able to do anything for the old lady. Then I tried for the last time and I called up a number. But I reached a charity for children. I talked to a person called Srivyal. He was a cool guy and told me that his charity is for the poor children. But he helped with a number. He asked me to call a well known Telugu newspaper Reporter, Mr. Srinivas. Srivyal told me that Mr. Srinivas could help me as he wrote few articles about the abandoned & old people in the past.

When I called up the Reporter Mr. Srinivas he talked to me with patience and he listened to me very carefully. Srinivas told me that he wrote an article few days back about a woman who was abandoned. I told Srinivas about my experiences with the charities whom I called up. Srinivas told me that it happens and most of the charities are not in a position to help anymore. Then I asked Srinivas if there is any charity that will take some money and take care of this sick woman. Srinivas told me that it’s too late in the night and no one would come now. Srinivas gave me Naredmet police station number and asked me to inform them about the old lady. Then I called up Naredmet police station and the constable told me that they won’t take up such issues but at the same time he helped with a number. I called up the number and the guy asked me to call 108. Then I called up 108 and to my surprise they were ready to help the woman. The guy who talked to me added me in to a conference call where I could talk to the 108 ambulance driver. I gave my address and my mobile number. The ambulance driver told me that he will be at my address in 10 minutes. By the time I went down and started my bike I could see the ambulance. I was surprised and thanked God. I drive to the ambulance and asked them to follow me. When I reached the spot where I saw the woman I was surprised & confused as I could not find the woman. I asked the ambulance to stay for a while and I started searching near by places. I searched for about 15 minutes but I could not find the woman. I asked one of the families who were still awake about the lady and they told me that they too saw the woman a while ago and how she is not there. I was disappointed and returned back to ambulance. The 108 guys asked me to call them back if I could manage to find the woman and they left to their base point. I thanked them for their help and I took their mobile number. I ones again started searching for the lady but I could not find her. I went home with disappointment and hoped that someone might have sheltered her. Then I called up the Reporter Srinivas and explained him all that happened. Srinivas asked me not to worry as I did my part. He told me that she will be definitely safe some where.

But I could not convince myself and I started praying for the woman. And I didn’t notice when I fell asleep. Even today my eyes go around my place with a belief that I will find her one day.

Today I still regret that I couldn’t do much for the woman. There are many old people who are abandoned by everyone in the society. I know, we cannot do much for them but at least we can pray to God to help them. We are humans and almost all of us live for ourselves. We are so busy with our work and family that we never find time for some one else. Even I fall in to the same category. But let me tell you there are very few people who make it.

I am very happy that I met this person, Srivyal. Srivyal is a Hyderabadi and he did his Maters in Economics in University of Ohio. He always wanted to do something for the poor children who could not afford to study. He came back to Hyderabad and he started a foundation called Spoorthi Foundation, through which he helps the poor children to pursue their education. Now he supports around 43 students in their studies. He has set up a house for the all the kids where they can stay, have food, study and enjoy. Srivyal with the help of his few good friends and few good people is able to run the foundation. I request you to please visit the website http://www.sphoorti.org/where you can know more about what he does. I have decided that I will help him in whatever way I can. Srivyal is a wonderful person and I will try my best to do at least 10% of what he is doing.

I am planning to visit his place to know more about what he is doing. Will post a write up when I visit Sphoorti.
